Afridi in hot water for criticising team

Karachi Pakistan cricket authorities on Wednesday demanded an explanation from star allrounder Shahid Afridi after he criticised the team’s “negative” approach for their early exit from the World Twenty20.

“It was due to our negative approach in the first six overs, and that’s the reason we lost the match.” A days after the team’s return, Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez stepped down from his role, taking responsibility for the team’s failure. Afridi, widely seen as the next Twenty20 captain, said he was ready to take the role. “I am ready to accept any challenge for the Pakistan team. As a player and as a captain I have no issues, but things should improve,” Afridi had said.

I've always hated afridi. His cricketing talent has been offset by his offscreen activities which have mostly been negative. I am yet to find a humble and down-to-earth pakistani player!

This moron made a horribly sexist comment against Pakistani female cricketers, and got away with it. And for this he's in "hot waters"?
I weep for humanity. And Pakistan.

I still think he should have been snapped up in the CPL draft :

No Franchise wanted him ....really weird.

Regardless of his foolishness , I would draft Afridi from a T20 pool , ANYTIME !

Well that IS weird. Why on earth wouldn't anyone want him? Yeah I would agree, he's just a blind choice, like I'd take him 10/10 too.
