Indian merchant ships operating in and around the Andaman and Nicobar islands have already been involved in the search efforts for a while now. India has been, in fact, the first country to make use of, not only its military assets, but also private parties, in the search for any sign of the missing aircraft. It is my feeling, however, that, if the country had flown into Indian territory, there is no way it could have stayed undetected.ย
