Yeah basically the problem is that he doesn't seem to do all that well enough when he's given the WI jersey. This is mostly true when he plays domestic T20s.
Theoretically you're right though. Not to be pessimistic, but I have feeling Gayle won't do all that much in the "big stage". Gut feeling, could be wrong though.
