M.I.A. fans?

Any M.I.A. fans on this forum? I love her music. It's infectious and also kind of enlightening and empowering. Her actual voice is also so wonderful sounding that I'll sometimes just listen to her music and zone out listening to her. Her mixtape Vicki Leekx (which she released under the pseudonym Vicki Leekx) is short and fun and is a wonderful taste of M.I.A.'s creativity.

I like M.I.A. too, but of course mainstream media do not take too kindly to her music. I find it funny because any time a musician literally holds up a mirror to society's ills, those in power become so cranky. It's hilarious to me. I like the fact she is truly free in her expression, lyrical content, and video imagery. Too many artists are under the constraints of record companies and their ideals, but M.I.A. found a way to carve her own lane and drive happily in it.

I love her music. But, I really like her video live fast die young..Bad girls do it well! The cars and the effects are awesome!

I love her, I love the fact that she loves to step away from the norm of not only a regular old popstar but also away from the norm of her country's traditions and family. She's herself, and she's never afraid to show it.

Oh yes! I love her music and her as a person. True, great artist!
