Ramnaresh Sarwan spoiled Ireland's hopes of getting their Caribbean tour off to a winning start :

by blitzing a ruthless 89 not out :

to set up a 114-run win for Guyana at Queen's Park Oval.

I was bigging up Kiwi Ross Taylor Late and Square cuts and how much it reminded me of a vintage Sarwan.

Then , voila !  De man himself showed the technique !

10x4s and 4x6s .......Wow  !!

As someone who wants to see Sarwan get back into the west Indies team, I have perhaps been one of the most critical.

For me he failed terribly at Leicester. When he played the ODIs against Zim, I think, he looked clueless.

I am happy to report his feet were moving very well, he looked balanced and eventually timed the ball extremely well.

Ireland bowled poorly and gifted a number of full tosses but an out of sorts Sarwan may have fallen to one of those.

I do not want to put the mockers on Sars but this is encouraging so now let us see how he shapes up for the rest of the series.

At the same time, I was disgusted by Dujon's derogatory remarks about Shiv. he is the man to bat through but Dujon kept knocking teh man which really pissed me off and I am no great Shiv fan really.

I believe most cricket fans were pissed at Duj constant nagging of Shiv.

He sounded like a woman scorned  :-[

I found it disrespectful and surprise Bish did not pull him up on that unless he too was in agreement.

The man laid a foundation.

Water, Well and dry comes to mind.
