It has happened. It's not an apparition. England have beaten Australia. After 91 days on a gut-wrenching tour that has brought defeat and despair, they can at least remind themselves what winning a cricket match feels like after securing a 57-run victory at the WACA.

Congrats england on beating a second string aussie side. You guys played the better cricket in the end and got a well deserved victory. But you guys missed a trick. Sending Ballance in at 4 was a horrible call off of that magnificent start. If Morgan was at 4 and then Butler at 5 England could of made 350 even close to 400. Anyway didn't matter in the end

Mitch bowled absolute trash yesterday. Scares me thinking that if this Mitch is gonna show up in SA. When he's bad, he's one of the worst, that's been the problem with good ol' Mitch, always. And I can't believe picking such a terrible XI. I mean what the hell, they had like a team full of pacers and only Maxi as spinner? What rubbish. Should have played Doherty. Even Maxi got away with decent figures.

Anyway, good on Stokes, great find for Poms and all. And Buttler coming to form in ODIs is great sign as well.

Well done to England. They finally won a match.  Honestly, I don't have that much to say about this match.  I think Australia looked bright early on, but it tailed away.  England chose the perfect day to win, the day I was watching Federer vs. Nadal on 7.
