NICHOLAS POORAN slammed a stroke-filled unbeaten 130 as the Yannick Ottley XI were held to a draw by the Jason Mohammed XI yesterday, in the second three-day Trinidad and Tobago cricket team trial match at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva.

this guy is a pure talent. i hope they dont destroy him.

I expected him to do MUCH better in that Bangladesh tour. He does look the goods, but I would like to see him perform in A tours etc first to make a proper judgment.

3-4 days preparation for a 50 overs competition is good as it is transferable skills.


I hope this Pooran lad does not become another Oz Hughes. He has something but he needs excellent mentoring and coaching and he needs to learn the values of your greats by working hard.


He has great hand eye co-ordination.


I hope Barath comes back this season.

T20 cricket will kill his potential career if he is not careful.
