in this instance in use of stats I agree with the Rev. I can see no way to defeat this one..no extenuating collection of contextual content that makes these figures moot...

why limit the number to 5. that does not seem right. there are more to be considered. you have to find the outstanding number of great batsmen over the time..and what is the time frame under review here..and pick the corresponding number of writers to try to do justice to the issue.
I mean right away I could see Viv Richards must be included..maybe David Gower, Graham Gooch, Ian Chappelle etc
