Pakistan - so typical init? One great show, and bam, back to square one. Batting lineup is terribly fragile.
Nuwan Pradeep looks much improved now, used to bowl utter trash the last time I'd seen him bowl.
Would be great for SL if they could muster up around 350-400+ here and seal the deal.

Pakistan 165
Sri Lanka 318/4 (106.0 ov)
Sri Lanka lead by 153 runs with 6 wickets remaining in the 1st innings
Stumps - Day 2

Mahela 106 *

angelo 46 *

Pakistan need a partnership break OR is an Innings defeat !

#5
will need to get another 150 + tmrw to take a lead of 300+ to be in a position to push for victory

Well played Lanka. Typical Pakistan, but good on Mahela to bounce back strongly here. They're already safe me thinks, but they can't just leave it to that and take it easy. You don't want to chase anything more than a hundred at best on the fourth or fifth day with someone like Ajmal on their side.
I would say 250-300 ish lead would be good time to declare. Bat the whole day out except the last session maybe - and then put them into bat. Have all the time in the world, SL.

Poor Misbah. Always in the position of having to save things.

#8
Pakistan 165 & 132/3 (49.0 ov)
Sri Lanka 388

Stumps - Day 3

Misbahย  53*

Current partnership :113 runs* , 41.1 overs, RR: 2.74 (Younis Khan 60, Misbah-ul-Haq 53)

Stumps, Day 3 .

Good partnership - but two whole days to go. And one wicket usually triggers collapse. This partnership needs to build around 50-100 runs lead even, to think of avoiding defeat.
And pitch is playing well still.
