The Jason Mohammed XI completed an easy 213-run victory over the Justin Guillen XI on the final day of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board three-day trial match at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain Couva yesterday.
Some early showers delayed the start on the final day and when the action finally got underway, the Mohammed XI, who were 339 for eight overnight, were dismissed for 344 to set Guillen’s team a target of 323 to win.
Two early strikes from left-arm spinner Derone Davis and leg-spinner Yannic Cariah set the Guillen XI back and they could not recover.
Petrock Nicholas top scored with 28 while Adrian Barath and Sherwin Ganga made 24 each.
The national players were also involved in three Super50 trial matches on the previous weekend at Queen’s Park Oval Port of Spain and the selectors, chaired by Alec Burns, are expected to named the T&T Super50 squad this week.
The deadline for submitting the squad to the WICB is Friday.

Barath not doing good at all? Been a while since I'd seen his name anywhere. He's been on such a downfall after that incredible debut. Kinda like Ashraful, I guess.
