Butts need to get it checked out
* Both Butts and Shiv are Guyanese.

* But Shiv is a PPP supporter.

* Butts is a PNC supporter.

* Now you know why Butts was only to happy to support Gibson and force Shiv out of the oneday team.

* And listen! If PNC man Butts had his way----PPP man Shiv would not be playing tests today.

WHO VEX, VEX.

* Chanderpaul is the #2 ranked test batsman in the world today.

* In 268 onedayers Chanderpaul has scored 8778 runs at an average of 41.60 with 11 hundreds and 59 fifties and a strike rate of 70.76

* Are you saying Shiv is not suited to the oneday format ?

* If you are---then you don't know cricket.

Out of context Rev, shameful.

What was my entire post?

I do not think because you have a test ranking of 2 you have an automatic place in the ODI team as some players are not suited to that format.

However when you replace someone you bring something better and that does not seem to be the case although extended runs have been given from what I can see.

Chanderpaul, despite the 66 or so average before his dropping, should have been retained and made to open as that is what he might do best given his avarice for being at the crease.

Not sure many current and established players have a better record than him. I am not sure, of his contemporaries, Gayle has a better record.

Does he?

Someone Help the Rev.

I find it most insincere to take a bit of a post and make and issue out of context. Rev I expected bettre from you and what you did is quite disgraceful.

I endorsed Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Credibility.....no.

EasyRider:

* You ought to know there is a huge difference between average and strike rate.

* Before his dropping Shiv's strike rate in his last 16 onedayers was only 66----not his average.

* So Shiv deserved to be dropped temporarily.

* The fact that he was dropped permamently----that is vindictiveness on part of Gibson and Butts.

Rev,

I quoted you incorrectly about average and SR.

You misquoted me and that is abhorrent and unforgivable.

Ketchy:

* You have to understand guys like Coach Gibson and Chief selector Butts were failures when they played International cricket.

* And so now they have a little power----they use that power to force out a proven success like Shiv from onedayers and play mediocre performers like Johnson Charles.

* It's envy, malice and spitefulness on part of Gibson and Butts that's kept Shiv away from the oneday team.

I fully endorse your conclusion , Rev

What irks me even more is that I am Guyanese and so is Butts...
