OK Folks!

* As usual you can expect the Rev to present you with obscure but interesting stats.

* The subject is test hundreds scored after age 39.

* First of all congrats to Shiv Chanderpaul on scoring his first test hundred after age 39.

* The most test hundreds scored by a batsman after age 39 is 8 by Jack Hobbs; Don Bradman had 6---see link:

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...pe=batting

* West Indian Clive Lloyd scored 3 hundreds in 20 tests played after age 39.

* Only 3 batsmen in WI history have scored hundreds after age 39----Lloyd(3), Greenidge(1), and Chanderpaul(1).

GIVE PRAISE TO THE GREAT MAN ON HIS FIRST HUNDRED AFTER AGE 39----may he score quite a few more.

* Clive Lloyd was 40yr 6mo when he played his final test against Australia---he scored 33 and 72 in that test.

* Shiv is now 39yr 126days---and will definitely surpass his compatriot Lloyd in terms of age when he plays his final test.

* Interestingly, Shiv will be the first Guyanese in history to end his career with a 50+ test average.

* Shiv ought to receive Guyana's highest award---the Order of Excellence---when he retires.

*Precedent is in Shiv's favor.

* He can emulate his fellow Guyanese Lloyd and Gibbs and play into his 40s

* And like Lloyd he can be productive all the way to the end.
