West Indies vow to fight hard - again

Stout West Indian resistance in the first Test against New Zealand leaves them at peace with their fragile position heading into day three of the second Test.

The tourists resume at the Basin Reserve on 158-4 on Friday, staring at a deficit of 283 after dismissing the Black Caps for 441.

"It's frustrating but you can't press the panic button. There are three days to go and we are still in it," Williams said.
"It was always going to be tough against New Zealand in New Zealand.
"They have the type of bowling attack that suits the pitches but as we go along we will get a lot better."

It appears the west Indies objective is to draw tests rather than trying to win.
