Quote:Unfortunately, just because an action is one of the most pig-headedly, ham-fistedly counterproductive things the US military could possibly do, is absolutely no guarantee it will not do it.

These drone strikes are immoral, illegal, and create a world of negative blow-back from people whose moms, sisters, brothers, cousins, and other innocent family members have been blown to smithereens, or maimed for life.

It is almost as though US military policy is engineered to create more radicals, who hate the US government, which again, seems, from a logical point of view, the absolute opposite outcome it would want to have happen.

I would strongly suggest that Khan has the political, moral, and social capital to make this happen.

And for anyone in the Pentagon or State department who doubts this for one millisecond, or wants to scoff, please remember another legendary figure in the region who got the occupying power to get out: Mahatma Gandhi.
