Rubbing the ball on the zipper ? This could only mean that he was tampering with 3 balls and the correct sanction should be 15 runs .. 5 runs per ball

I see Vernon scratching the ball, but what did Faf do? I didn't see anything conclusive there? I can't get audio of the YT video as my headphones are out at the moment. Could someone explain?

PS: Why did Umar Gul get away with this then?


For me that was bloody blatant as they come. Just like Vernon did here.

On the same day as Saeed Ajmal was officially reprimanded for excessive celebrations - something few people even noticed - it seemed as though the variance in the punishments for offenses was too great. When considered in the context of previous players who have been suspended for the same, such as Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi who had to sit out two matches each, du Plessis can be considered to have got off lightly.
