For not being the most financially stable country in the world America sure has alot of influence on the rest of the world. I guess they have good strategies though, some bad ones too.

yuh know dem fellas have everybody's gold stashed at Fort Knox..gold that has been reported to have been sold and is no longer there. how are nations going to get their gold back?

even buying gold as a result as a hedge against currency collapse is problematic. they keeping shorting both gold and silver.  and gold as personal property can be confiscated.

check this I read yesterday:  apparently some rich people found that their old grandfather or great grandfather had stashed away gold eagle coins in his old safety deposit box minted back in the late twenties or early thirties.  the coins are worth 80 million dollars today. 

get that!  [size=36pt]80[size=18pt]MILLION[/size][/size].  THE US government confiscated it all.

the family appealed and lost.  the decision said that president Roosevelt had ordered all the gold to be handed over and the old man did not.  so rightfully that gold was the property of the government as it was stolen gold
