BlackBerry to Slash Its Workforce by Up to 40%

TORONTO—BlackBerry Ltd. is preparing to make deep staff cuts by the end of the year via layoffs that could cost up to 40% of its employees their jobs, people familiar with the matter said.

The end is nigh. How the mighty have fallen.  Soon it will be R.I.P to a once great Canadian institution.

I hope the folks at Apple paying close attention.

Ironically they just released another smart phone, the Z30.  There may still be some life left. 8)
