The sheer ineptitude of President Obama's handling of his Syria red line has made jaws drop all across the political spectrum. The man who garnered so much admiration for his oratorical brilliance, personal charm, and political genius has managed to make matters worse with every step he has taken.  This dramatic and historic collapse demands explanation. It must be acknowledged from the start that Obama might now be the victim of unrealistic expectations stoked by his media allies, who once called him a "lightworker" and "almost a god." But then again, when you promise to stem the rise of the oceans, you are auto-inflating a myth that cannot be sustained. He is thus both the victim and perpetrator of unrealistic expectations. But to be frank, unrealistic expectations have nothing to do with his Syrian predicament. His behavior has been well below minimal expectations of a president. Obama has been brilliant in his cause.  he represents the wrong cause that's all!

the american people rose up in adamant opposition to his jackass war..which was (is) a war to end all wars..indeed to end everything.

the americans want a war that has some limits..one that wont blow up the world.  they want great destruction and massive loss of life..so that the financiers can come out of it once again with MARSHALL PLANS FOR RECONSTRUCTION BASED ON DEBT AT INTEREST FOR THEMSELVES...JUST LIKE IN CRISIS IN TIMES PAST. 

this way the starve off the natural and periodic financial crisis their system causes.  every  2-3 generations when all the liquidity accrues to the financiers and the system crashes they must destroy the world and rebuild it..all at interest!

that is what those evil, insane muthers are all about..INTEREST!

The Syria crisis, as I see it, is a complex power play, struggle for supremacy, of contending factions -- ruling Assad regime vs. anti-Assad rebels, Shiites vs. Sunnis,
United States and pro-U.S. group vs. Russia and Russia-leaning group. From this perspective, the Syria crisis has three levels: (1) ground -- chemical weapons of destruction; (2) civil war -- Assad forces vs. anti-Assad forces; (3) regional turmoil -- Sunni-Shiite sectarian conflict and foreign involvements. In my earlier comment today on "Kerry Floats a Deal on Arms, ... ," I refer to my ongoing project "Swords- to-Ploughshares" Diplomacy. What I have in mind is that we have to take on the crisis on all three levels for the fundamental resolution of the regional crisis, starting with the chemical weapons of mass destruction, then the civil war, and the regional turmoil. The overriding objective is the transformation from "regional destruction" to "regional reconstruction" in the Middle East -- an extremely challenging, daunting if not "quixotic" undertaking.

The USA gotta go easy on that Israel " ally " and trusted friend rhetoric !

I don't see that there is a too much of a future for that relationship remaining.  Zion will soon find itself on its own I wager... if the american people have really awakened
