Ugly people more likely to be bullied at work: study

Research from Notre Dame and Michigan State showed that bullies tend to torment co-workers they consider unattractive, and that we as a society are ‘more influenced by attractiveness than we are willing to admit.’

I believe workplace bullies are those who band together against those who are different than the rest of the group. Say you work with a group of suburban white trash and you are an artist, an intellectual, well traveled, etc. They aren't going to treat you well because you are different. It's about attacking the one who is different from the rest. Not about looks at all. It's about fear and ignorance and there are no protections in place in the workplace whatsoever.
