David Warner says Australia ball-tampering scandal fallout 'tough and emotional'

David Warner has returned to Australia, speaking briefly to the media, but refused to answer any questions

David Warner refused to answer any questions directly referring to the ball-tampering scandal, saying it had been a "tough and emotional time".

The opening batsman took to Twitter on Thursday morning to apologise for the part he played in the saga after receiving a 12-month suspension from Cricket Australia - ruling him out of all top-level cricket in Australia.

Accompanied by his wife and two young children at Sydney airport, he addressed the press: "As you can understand it's been a tough and emotional time for my wife and my kids at this present time.
