Residents across the Greater Toronto Area woke to another day of cold, rainy conditions that are forecasted to continue through to the weekend with the possibility of freezing rain and even periods of snow.

Environment Canada issued a winter storm watch early this morning as a strong low-pressure system moves its way up from the southwest and mixes with a colder air mass from the north.

The CBC's meteorologist Jay Scotland said the GTA would be anything but sunny today with the possibility of 15 to 20 millimetres of rain.

"(There's) also a risk of ice pellets and the chance of freezing rain for Thursday morning and overnight again into Friday morning," said Scotland.

The federal weather agency has forecasted that anywhere between five and 10 centimetres of ice pellets could fall tomorrow.

Another over hyped storm . I harnessed and saddled up with my winter gear to go out and it is a beautiful spring day. Had to go back and change
