Male pedestrian struck and killed in Brampton

A male pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton Friday night, a representative with police in Peel Region has confirmed.

Const. George Tudos says the male was struck on Steeles Avenue near Melanie Drive shortly after 9 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, Tudos says.

Police are currently searching for any witnesses.

Steeles Avenue is currently closed as police continue to investigate.

Thanks for sharing. It is awful news. Lately, there has been a lot of report of pedestrian killed in car accidents and the driver, who caused the accident, fled from the scene. Perhaps, it has to do with the weather. Drivers need to drive carefully.
