Which is the best ground to watch cricket in?

There's nothing beautiful about the Rec, unless you like your cricket grounds buffeted by prison walls and rough around the edges. It was a place to bat, and bat, and bat - the Rec hosted both of Brian Lara's world-record innings, 375 and 400. And yet there was something special about this tiny ground in an unpretentious part of St John's that hasn't existed since it stopped hosting international cricket.

Tough one ... if you meant the most picturesque cricket ground then Newlands, Cape Town, South Africa would have to be right at the top with its backdrop of Table Mountain and Devil's Peak.

Arnos Vale in St. Vincent is also a very pretty ground ...

However, that's probably not what you meant ...For some it will always be Lords and for others ... grounds like MCG with a seating capacity of 100,000

So then ........ there's Bourda !!  :wink:  ... of old times  ::lol::

The atmosphere/experience at MCG is unbelievable, was there in 2000

For me it will always be Lord's.

it was the only time i ever went to see a 'professional' cricket game.

but i was watching the cricketers more than i watched the cricket  ::lol::

all i remember....it was england playing somebady

and one of the british reporters flirted with me the whole time  ::lol::

Lord's I guess.. but I also have a slight partiality for Sharjah too

Bourda for Nostalgic reasons ...

I've never had the pleasure of watching cricket in the West Indies, it's something I'd like to do in the future.

I would choose Lords, based on the cricket grounds I've attended. Does Lords really need an explanation?
