It was an afternoon dedicated to honouring a ‘household name’ in the field of education in Guyana and particularly in Berbice. He was the ‘To Sir With Love’— the name, the person, the educationist, the Guyanese Rajkishore Mangal, MS.
He was fondly remembered yesterday by his former students, relatives and friends at the school where he gave his life blood, Berbice Educational Institute (BEI).

Indeed  a great man . It was a privelige to be taught geography by him  I remember his steadfast refusal to wear the tie for which he was suspended as deputy pricinpal  at BEI .
He claimed that this represented colonialism and in the end he won and was allowed to wear the shirt jac
He was from the same village that I was from and attented Bohemia govt primary school and BEI
LONG LIVE  BOHEMIA GOVT. AND BEI!!
