I am not shocked about this news, i dont know why everyone else is. being an addict, there are only 2 ways her life could have gone....continue as an addict and die eventually or become clean and live a healthly life.

whitney houston wasted her talent and life. Having said that, hopefully she can now rest in peace.

i was slow-dancing with my hubby around 12:30 on saturday night when the dj said something to the effect.....and here's one from another legend that we have lost.....and started playing ~i will always love you~

hubby and i stopped dancing and looked at each other and said....what does he mean 'we have lost....dat's a whitney houston song'??

everyone around said....yes she died just a few hours ago!!

i think i was shocked only because of the way i learned of it.

loved her voice and her music!!

i remember Simon always telling the AI contestants.....don't ever do a whitney houston song.....no one can do them justice!!

she 'owned' every single one of her songs.

maybe now she will find the Peace that eluded her for so long in this life.

Whitney Houston was a crack addict no different from a crack  Whore . I will shed no tear for her  because she chose not to  get help for addiction . Where was the entertainment fraternity when they could have done something for her while she was alive?
They are now shedding crocodile tears , poor Whitney , save your tears for the poor crack addicted mothers , who can't'  afford  drug rehab.

I still cannot believe ![/quote]

I am surprised this did not happen earlier.

Undoubtedly a phenomenal singer but the years wasted to drug abuse, self degradation and waste will tarnish her memory.

RIP
