HIS Excellency, Dr. Irfaan Ali has delivered to every citizen of our great country, Guyana. Guyanese throughout the land and diaspora are thrilled with his purposefulness, his urgency in tackling persistent issues and his unbreakable bond with the common people.

The insightful leadership of Dr. Ali has not only augmented the People’s Progressive Party/ Civic, but it has ushered new life into our economy. His unflinching pursuits to unify every community are noteworthy and it points to his selfless service to humanity.
It is not unexpected that our President is receiving acclamations from regional and international organisations. His drive and excellent management of Guyana will only bring about prosperity and goodwill to the entire region.

The People’s Progressive Party stands at the cusp of an enormous victory at the upcoming General and Regional Elections. This is largely due to the delivery of manifesto promises, the extraordinary developments in all sectors and the upholding of democratic principles and institutions.
Not surprisingly, the shameless opposition would jump on some social media platforms spewing hate and pretending to be human rights activists.

How disgraceful! The country has an opposition with a seditious history, a party known for dictatorial regimes and one which only recently sought to steal elections once more.
Guyanese are more informed and will reject the many attempts by the opposition to polarise our populace. Guyana is united!
Dr. Ali means unceasing possibilities to every boy and girl, to every man and woman and Guyanese will agree that it’s a period of unrivalled prowess. My community stands with you, without a doubt.

GUYANA’S agro-processing industry is rapidly growing, positioning the country as a food hub and prominent exporter of value-added products. As a result, investors are expressing significant interest in the country’s manufacturing and agro-processing sectors.
This is according to President Dr. Irfaan Ali, who during a press engagement with stakeholders from the upcoming International Business Conference (IBC) pointed out that the government has made significant investments and policies to support the growth of the productive industries.

Dr. Ali highlighted that now investors from the Middle East and the United States are showing a strong interest in manufacturing and agro-processing.
“The ease and access to markets is becoming much simpler, less bureaucratic. So all of this combines itself to give us an enormous platform, a competitive platform for investment in manufacturing, especially supporting small manufacturers and medium size, focusing on agro processing, focusing on technology, focusing on machining,” the Head of state said.

PRESIDENT, Dr Irfaan Ali has said the strict application of international law has been Guyana’s ‘armour and shield’ in the face of aggression fuelled by Venezuela’s territorial claims to the country’s resource-rich Essequibo region.
The Guyanese Head of State on Wednesday joined hundreds of world leaders at the 79th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, issuing a call for reformation of the UN’s Security Council.

Dr Ali echoed that the UN is a special responsibility for the security of small states, highlighting that these nations look to multilateralism and the rule of international law to protect them from foreign aggression.
“Guyana is a small state that has had to contend with aggression from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for all 58 years of our nationhood. International law and its strict application have been our armour and our shield in our determination to protect ourselves from this aggression,” the President said.
He reminded the assembly that the border between Guyana and Venezuela was fully, finally and perfectly settled in an 1899 award by an International Tribunal.

However, swift mobilisation of the resources by authorities averted any major catastrophic events.

President, Dr Irfaan Ali led from the front, leading a team from the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) and the Guyana Police Force.

“The middle door of the koker at Canal Number One has failed under the high tide. The National Drainage and Irrigation Authority is mobilising equipment and materials to install stop logs. Preparations are also being made to install a new door,” the Head of State said in a brief statement to his official Facebook Page.

During an inspection at the koker site, Dr Ali revealed that a stainless steel door will replace the wooden structure that once held back the tides.
