This method of dismissal is wrong. I get it's in the laws, but it's like sneaking up behind someone and pinching a wallet hanging out of their back pocket. Yes, they should be more careful, but it's still sneaky, sly, and totally against what our sport should be.

I get that it's legal. I get that it's part of the rules. But a tiny piece of my heart breaks seeing this happen at U19s level. I guess this is where the game is going...

Which non-cricketing sportsman/woman would you love to see play cricket?

I like the Mitch Starc idea of - Get the umpire to check every ball, just with the front foot no ball, and if deemed to be stealing ground then deducted penalty runs. Takes it completely out of the hands of the players

MCC, custodians of cricket laws, remind us time and again it’s the non-striker’s job to stay in crease. The bowler who runs out is following the laws, the non-striker who leaves early is GOING AGAINST THE LAWS still it’s the bowler who is not playing in the right spirit? Amazing!
