Wait, right after saying 70% of the people who get it die, the article says in 1999 only 100 people of the 300 who contracted it died. And then in 2019 2 of the 19 people who contracted it died. Feels like Elaine of the scientific publication Scary Mommy is doing a little fear mongering with headlines. It's like shutting down a world because .07% of people who got covid died, maybe. Many people who got it just stayed home 3 days and went on with life without reporting, so it's probably lower.

You people do realize any high school student with a decent understanding of biology can create a bacteria that could scare the pants off of the CDC. The first recorded bioweapon attack against the US on US soil was in Antelope Valley Oregon in 1984. Ma Anand Sheela tried to incapacitate the voting population so he would be voted into local office. And then he was going to expand his influence by broadening this same plan to other counties and then the state and possibly even the Nations Capitol. He did this by using basic biology and contaminating local restaurants. So all you people worried about covid need to look closer to home. And it doesn't take a ultra modern labratory to create these types of biological weapons.
