The post of a Chairman for any of the Constitutional Commission

The post of a Chairman for any of the Constitutional Commission should be filled by a person popularly elected at the Polls at the same time of our General Elections. The Term in office for this position should be a single one for Ten Years, with no re-election conditions
.

The Chair persons of all Constitutional Commissions in Guyana should canvass among the electorate for the position, whereas, the other nominated members will be as follows : Governing Party - three representatives, Opposition Party - two representatives, Trade Union Movement - four representatives,with two from each major TUC Factions, Business Community - two representatives and one representative from the Amerindian "Toschao Council" of Guyana.

This gives a Total of Twelve ( 12 ) non-salaried and voluntary, part-time Members of GECOM representing various Bodies in Guyana ! The 13th member, the Chairman, shall earn a Salary, fixed by Parliament.

WHY GRANGER GOVT FAILED THE NATION ?

HE WAS MORE QUALIFIED TO BE A SOLDIER, HE HAD NO POLITICAL LEADERSHIP QUALITIES, POMPOUS AND ALOOF, SINGLE MINDED AND CONTROL FREAK....DESTINED TO FAIL.

SIMPLY PUT HE ALSO DID NOT HAVE QUALITY MINISTERS....ALL WERE NOT WORTHY TO BE CALLED MINISTERS....UNQUALIFIED AND INEXPERIENCED TO MANAGE AFFAIRS OF STATE.

PPP ON THE OTHER HAND HAS A YOUTHFUL LEADERS, A MAN WITH A KIND HEART, BAGS OF LEADERSHIP QUALITIES, A VISIONARY AND YOUNGER THAN GRANGER....HE IS APPROACHABLE AND WANTS TO PLEASE THE PEOPLE.

HE HAS BAGS OF TALENTED MINISTERS, A MIX BAG OF EXPERIENCE AND VERY BRIGHT PEOPLE...YOUNG AND MATURED, MULTI ETHNICITY, AND YOUTHFUL EXUBERANCE.
