thing about guyanese parents is they want they children live with them forever and then when the kids more out on their own, by the time they are 50 they are so lost.  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

between you and Ketch i don't know if i am going or coming today.

my daughter went off to UW when she was 18 years old.

moved back in on and off during university and teacher's college years

then she got married

we gave her the option (same as we did with our son) to move in back with us and save money for downpayment on house.

they both took us up on it and now they are both in their own house

a lot of our peers are doing the same thing with their kids.....it's the easiest way to help them get their own house.

and trust me......me and hubby enjoying our 'freedom' and empty-nesting!! :wink: ::lol::

ohh..cool. how was it living with a son-in-law from a different background? culture wise...

we had no problem with either son-in-law or daughter-in-law
