Woman finds strange man sleeping in bed with her dog

A Wisconsin woman had a bizarre start to her New Year’s Day when she found a strange man sleeping next to her 150-pound Mastiff, Benton, in the pooch’s bed, WISN reported.

Lynn Sarver and her houseguest both didn’t recognize the man, so the women grabbed knives and called the police to report the peculiar sight, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Waukesha authorities woke the confused man and asked if he knew where he was. After he put his glasses on and looked around, the man realized he was in the wrong house.

As for Benton, who Sarver got to serve as a guard dog, he never barked to signal the late-night visitor.

Sarver told the Journal Sentinel that her gentle giant could probably tell the young man “wasn’t a threat.”
