shujaa succumbs 24-12 to Fiji in Hong Kong Sevens final

Shujaa bagged 19 points as they lost the Hong Kong Sevens final to Fiji 24-12 at Son Kon Pon Stadium, Hong Kong on Sunday.

Shujaa roller coaster ride in the three day event came to a screeching halt in the final with the Fijians dominating the opening exchange and it came as no surprise when Joshua Vakurunabili dotted down for an unconverted try and a 5-0 lead.

The team now departs for Gold Cost. Australia to play in the Commonwealth Games which kick on Friday.

I am a huge Shujaa fan and seeing this breaks my heart considering the amount of time and preparation it took to get at this level. They did us proud though and I hope they will keep on playing with the same discipline.
