Have you ever noticed that most, if not all Hindus who covert to Christianity spend an inordinate amount of time trying to coerce others to follow suit? That they engage in conversations with reach other praising their new religion while tearing part their old one and generally demonizing almost everyone they talk about? Yet these same people never went to mandir when they Hindus although the drop everything , including family commitments to make sure they go to church now. They never read the Ramayan or Gita but they spend an inordinate amount of time loudly reading the Bible and some how they are able to use the Bible to justify themselves and demonize others. And, of course, now they a perfect explanation for wrongdoings, real or perceived - its the Devil at work. For example, they have a quarrel with husband or wife...its the Devil leading their spouse on. In fact if you're the spouse you hear that Devil refrain all day long and even in the nights. So do you think their circumstances in life have improved? Or the various relationships they have? And BTW I speak from personal experience here..I'm talking about people, many, many of them whom I personally know.
Hi @David. Christianity is posing a growing and serious demographic threat to Hinduism by converting large numbers of Hindus through aggressive proselytising. This effort is heavily founded by Christian Organisation in the West that see India as being ripe for large-scake conversions.
Since proselytising and conversions are not part of Hindu tradition, or that of any religion that originated in India, the playing field is titled against Hinduism, and this is causing societal friction. This sometimes leads to spontaneous and violent reactions.
