England slumped to their sixth-lowest Test total. At one point, it looked like they would collapse to their lowest.
58 all out

#2
New Zealand trail by 16 runs with 9 wickets remaining in the innings

Taking a moment to reflect on how there's a world cup in this sport, and this England team doesn't have to qualify for it.

New Zealand's best Test batsman Kane Williamson brightened up a gloomy afternoon in Auckland with his 18th Test hundred, passing Martin Crowe and Ross Taylor to become the country's leading century-maker. Rain then scuppered the rest of the first session with only 10 overs bowled.

#8
New Zealand lead by 171 runs with 6 wickets remaining in the innings

James Anderson's frustration over lack of swing is understandable. In home Tests, he's got average swing of 1.5ยฐ to left-handers but in this Test this has reduced to a mere 0.35ยฐ. All other seamers have gotten it to swing more v left-handers than Anderson in this Test.

Day 2: New Zealand lead by 171 runs with 6 wickets remaining in the innings
