Folks, just in case you didn't get the memo, the US government is heading toward one of two, thoroughy terrifying scenarios here; a world war, or a complete economic collapse. These very sombre realities have passed from the speculative phase to the reality phase rather recently; it is not a question of if, but when.

I cannot see precisely from where the scenarios with Russia, China, North Korea, or Iran may actually be going; I didn't quite inherit the "Nostradamus Gene" in my DNA.

However, Paul Craig Roberts, one of the most sober, responsible analyists I know, and respect, wrote an article this last spring that I think all Americans need to read:

This would be to prevent any further further rise of the Chinese yuan and the Russian ruble in the world's economy, and protect the hegemony of the US dollar.

That those in the Bowels of Power in the Occupied, Unhinged States of Amerika, are even thinking this way is enough to scare the stuffing out of me.
