President Trump on Monday tweeted in outrage that North Korea showed “great disrespect” to China by conducting another ballistic missile test over the weekend. Trump wrote, “North Korea has shown great disrespect for their neighbor, China, by shooting off yet another ballistic missile...but China is trying hard!” Late on Sunday, U.S. Pacific Command said it detected the launch near Wonsan Airfield. It landed in the Sea of Japan. Defense officials in the U.S. have said the missile is not a threat to North America.

the way I understand the Korean situation is that there is a great rift mutual dislike between current China leadership and lil Kim Jong Un.

this poor relationship was worsened by the assassination of Kim's brother in Maylasia, no doubt by Kim or on his orders.  Kim's brother had forsworn politics, left the DPRK and was under Chinese protection.  but that is where a red flag emerges  why wud the Chinese be protecting him were it not with the intent of regime changing the DPRK, given how they look at Kim.

Kim simply killed his brother to protect himself.  the clear impression is that the Chinese were plotting with his brother to get rid of him.

it is also clear that Trump, and the western media, well aware of the DPRK/Chinese antipathy are trying to strip China away from protecting the DPRK so that the americans can attack the DPRK without fear of Chinese retaliation.
we are witnessing a straight-up simple case of Trump mendacity trying to split up friend to take them down one at a time.  no great sophistication involved..just plan getting into other peoples business to cause dem all great pain
