The opposite approach is the Aussie way: 2 cowlashers (Langer, Hayden, Warner etc) to open. I like this too. Stick two cowlashers there and tell them to slog a 40-50 each.
Imagine Carlos and Holder opening.

Batting out of position: is not for Trinis ONLY, dude.
get with the programme.
IF Leon has to do it then Bravo and Holder should as well !

You miss the point.
Batting out of position is not ideal but Leroy has done so since he started his international career. It does not make it right or suitable but he should be better equipped than a tailender in Holder.
He only batted at 3 because Bravo was not around and you could argue that is not his position either. Also the fact is Bravo is well established at 3 so moving him is likely to destabilise the team even more and cost the team more.
Of Bravo's 87 test innings he has batted 48 at 3 and 35 at 4 and 1 opening.
If he was at the start of his career, given he bats 3 for Trinbago, putting him to open may make sense.
In my view risking your best batsman is dangerous and a risk worth evaluating.

Opening and batting at 3 are two different psychological challenges.
Bravo should resist doing this, in my view.
I take the point about bowling strength boosting confidence so that will not happen for a while, would it?
I am impressed with Joseph, why has he flown home?
