I wish Duckett the best in debut but not sure I agree with the insistence of the coach to have a more attacking player opening with Chef.
As I write Duckett is bowled foolishly by the other debutant.
Just stick with proper openers.
Unlucky Chef, going a bit too hard and to Shakib's low armed skidders, not a good idea!
That Ballance.....
Come in Mo and Roooot.
Mo has to tighten up his play and watch those sweep shots. Had a life early on.
258 - 7 after 92 overs
once again Jonny Bairstow shows his class.
Stumps, day 1
That was ok and Mo really needs to watch that sweep in sub continental conditions.
I am hoping we get past 300 tomorrow.
221- 5 after 74 overs
Tamim 78, Shakib 31*
Bangladesh trail by 72 runs with 5 wickets remaining in the 1st innings
Stumps day 2
5 overs left in Chittagong. England's lead is 264.
Day-night Test in Chittagong, it seems.
