Canadian-made device to help in fight against the Zika virus

A team in Waterloo, Ont. has created a device that it says will help in the global fight against the Zika virus.

A solution in the device releases a scent that lures female mosquitos, creating an artificial breeding zone and enticing them to lay eggs. Once the eggs are laid, they are then drained into filters that kill them before hatching.

The team at Maxtech Consumers Products Ltd. has spent seven years developing the device in hopes of international deployment of the product.

wouldnt the cure be to find something that counteracts Zika...the virus itself??????

Well eave it to the Canadian to come up with the solutions that we need when it comes to health standards.  It kind of goes right in line with the crazy stories about the price of the Epi Pen here, and sure enough, in Canada it is about 400% cheaper, for people without insurance, compared to people with insurance here.  I know they are unrelated, but I cannot help but draw a connection.  Interesting stuff, and thanks for sharing.
