Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan, who pioneered the "Dilscoop" flick over the wicketkeeper's head, has announced his international retirement.

Dilshan, 39, will step down after a final one-day international on Sunday and two more Twenty20 internationals next month, all against Australia.

Just limited overs, I believe.

Dilshan is one of only 30 players to have scored 15,000 runs across all three formats of the game. And one of only 7 players to have scored 15,000+ runs and taken 150+ wickets. The other 6 being Kallis, Jayasuriya, SR Waugh, Gayle, Tendulkar and Richards.

A wonderful entertainer, that was always fun to watch, whether it be with bat or ball in hand, or fielding at point.

One of the several cricketers I would pay money to watch!ย  Be it his fielding, batting or bowling he will always give 100%.ย  He will be missed by fans all over the world!ย

Looks as though Dilshan is already preparing for a career after international cricket:

Dilshan's last walk back to the pavilion.

I believe I saw Ramdin play the so called Dilshan before Dilshan...

Great entertainer and go well in retirement.

It seems as though Dilshan was not best pleased with Angelo Mathews.
