West Indies worst ever Test batsman?

Poor Floyd Reifer. 8 of his 11 innings were single-figure scores. I think he has to be in contention for worst Test batsman ever.

All numbers are post-World War II, a minimum of 10 innings, and excluding wicketkeepers.

Wasn't Bruce Pairaudeau a highly touted youngster? I seem to recall him putting up some big numbers in the Lancashire League, and then scored a century on his Test debut, but nothing after that.

He was a teenaged prodigy for British Guiana, as it then was, scoring the first of his

11 first-class hundreds, 130 against Jamaica at Bourda in 1947, aged 16.

In a golden era of West Indies batting, he had to wait until 1953

before he finally got a place in the Test team. He marked it with 115

in his debut innings, against India at the Queen’s Park Oval,

sharing a partnership of 219 with Weekes  8)

[/quote] What is telling  from the above stats are that there is only two persons of Indo heritage . Indos are not allowed to fail , they are discarded very quickly but  Afros Windians are given long a run
