I don't know manning as a person.  I never met the man, I was not his personal friend.  and for all I know in his private life IN HIS INTIMATE RELATIONS..he cud quite well have been an indian hater.
note in his intimate relations for he would not have spoken anything of the sort willy nilly given his profession in the Trinidad reality, in which he needed to garner a lot of Indian votes to win elections he did win.  and he won at least 3

but I knew Manning as the public figure, in the public, historically, in which his persona was absolutely not racist.  that is what I can talk about and have spoken of, have talked about, will talk about.

all of this should be obvious in the discussion, understood, taken for granted..no explanation necessary...  if I am talking to ketchim or sketchim, or anybody else on this board.
