It has emerged that the largest US pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, recently took steps to prevent its drugs being used in lethal injections.
"We strongly object to the use of any of our products in the lethal injection process for capital punishment," the company said.
It stressed that its products were meant to save the lives of patients.
The move reportedly shuts off the last remaining open market source of drugs used in executions in the US.

It could be a publicity stunt to appease the world after the company's implication with 35 billion dollars in off-shore accounts in Panama as well as numerous other scandals that come up every once in a while.

Its a joke that these "pro life" republican governors, are the ones pushing for death penalty. A real christian wouldn't sign a death warrant. Like when Jeb Bush claimed he had a "pro life" administration as Florida's governor, but executed 22 prisoners.

Right Right. Centuries ago, Justice system's death penaly was the Guillotine, hanging and electric chair. Now is lethal dosage because is more "human". We have not changed much since old centuries. We still giving the dangerous task to statized justice system in deciding
which convict lives and which convict dies.
