The Northern Lights

The Northern Lights are seen near the town of Salekhard, Russia on April 8, 2016.

This is truly one of nature's best spectacles, and I am really anxious because supposedly you can see them from our family cabin up north but I have yet to see anything close.  They are rare, but it would really be cool to see and it would be something that I could check off of the old bucket list.  I will keep my fingers crossed.

I realise that this is just reflection of lights at some angle and point but nevertheless it is amazingly beautiful. I never saw this natural phenomenon so I can only imagine how beautiful it looks live. I do not even know how it happens. What I wrote above was just me guessing. I don't really know the reason behind this.
