La Grange boy killed by reversing car

A 10-year-old lad was last evening killed when a reversing vehicle  struck him down in front of his home.

Dead is 10 year old Ishmael Raghubir of Independence Street, La Grange, West Bank Demerara.

He was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police investigations are ongoing.

When I was growing up in that village, cars could not drive more than 10mps on the very muddy road which had huge ditches when dry.

since they 'pitched' the road, dozens of cars per day go flying down that road  >


sad for that family, losing a child 

lots of new people now living in that street, so I am pretty sure I would now know the family.

Retiree should go back and put up speed bumps.

instead of changing snow tires prematurely
