A construction crane collapsed in Lower Manhattan early Friday, falling on a row of cars parked on a Tribeca street. Early reports say at least one person is dead and two more critically injured in the accident, which is on Worth Street near Church Street. The massive red crane, with “Bay Crane†written on its side, toppled over at around 8:30 a.m., with witnesses reporting a “bending metal sound†just before the crash.
