I can never get accustomed to X-mas eve being so matter-of-factly, almost a banal non-event. In Corentyne there would have been such excitement and anticipation of X-mas...now, I don't know if it is a combination of work, responsibilities, or maturity....the excitement pales in comparison to Guyana. And I miss that. I miss home.
