Cricket Australia (CA) today advises that Sean Abbott has been reprimanded for breaching the CA Code of Behaviour on 29 November 2015 in the Round 4 Sheffield Shield match between the New South Wales Blues and MyFootDr Queensland Bulls at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Abbott was reported for breaching CA’s Code of Behaviour Article 2.1.4 - using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during a Match.
As per CA’s Code of Behaviour procedure, the Match Referee considered the umpires’ written report and offered a proposed sanction of a reprimand, which Abbott accepted.
As Abbott accepted the charge a hearing was not required.
