Pakistan win the toss yet again and chose to bat. Not good news for England. The toss has been so important and England's heads will drop at losing a third toss in a row. It will be hard work this morning and even harder batting fourth on this spinning wicket.

Imran Khan and Shan Masood miss out for Pakistan, replaced by Rahat Ali and Azhar Ali. England also make two changes with James Taylor replacing Jos Buttler and Samit Patel filling in for the injured Mark Wood. A bold move to bring in a third spinner. I would have preferred Plunkett to Patel.

Azhar Ali out for a duck. Nice line from Jimmy and Azhar can't resist playing at it, edging it behind to Bairstow who takes a regulation catch. Pakistan 5/1.

Cook gets Samit Patel into the attack early and he promptly injures his bowling hand fielding his own bowling. Two balls into his return and it would appear that he has dislocated his pinky finger. .

Moeen gets a wicket out of nowhere. Pakistan were comfortably milking him around the ground until he gets one to hold up in the wicket and Hafeez chips a soft catch to Broad at midwicket. A gift. Pakistan 49/2.

A good review from Shoaib Malik after he was given out lbw. Ball tracking shows the ball would have missed leg stump and the original on field decision has been overturned. That could be a big turning point.

Pakistan 87/2 at lunch. An okay session for England. It could have been a very good session had the on field dismissal of Shoaib Malik held up. England will be encouraged by the amount of spin this pitch has shown early on given the three prong spin attack and also similarly terrified having to bat last against Yasir and Babar.

#7
Broad tempts Malik into wafting outside his off stump with no footwork and gives Bairstow a simple catch behind the stumps. An early breakthrough after lunch for England. Pakistan 88/3.

Younis Khan plays all around a Jimmy Anderson full toss and is dismissed lbw. A very soft dismissal but England won't care. Anderson and Broad have been outstanding. The pair have combined to bowl 14 overs, taken 3 wickets and yielded just 7 runs. Magnificent pressure bowling that has been fully rewarded so far.

#9
Continued pressure has paid off for England as Samit Patel finds the outside edge of Asad Shafiq's bat and Pakistan are 116/5.

234 ALL OUT

Misbah 71

Jimmeh 4Fer , 2 each to Broad , Moeen and Patelย
