Interesting article today by Cricket Country that takes a look at most Test runs scored by batsmen making their debut after the age of 30.

Their have been 18 batsmen to score 1,000 runs making their Test debut after age of 30. Brad Haddin (3,266) has the most runs by a wicketkeeper with Ridley Jacobs second on the list (2577). A total of 3 West Indies players have scored 1,000 runs after debuting at age 30 or older - Jacobs, Brendan Nash and John Holt.

Mike Hussey scored the most runs (6235) after debuting at age 30 or older, while Zimbabwe's Dave Houghton is the only player to have debuted after the age of 35 and score 1,000 Test runs.

Fun fact: Bangladesh's Mohammad Rafique is the only player to score 1,000 runs and take 100 wickets among players who made their Test debut after 30. He scored 1,059 runs and took 100 wickets.
